In support of IMSAf’s ongoing efforts to enhance organisational performance and provide employee development opportunities, the company is pleased to invite applications for Cost Planner and Project Coordinator in the Procurement and Logistics Department.
This is a key support role in maintaining an organization's adherence to legal and ethical standards, minimizing potential risks and promoting a culture of compliance. It will involve cost planning, budget co‑ordination and management.
The incumbent will also be responsible for project management and co‑ordination, specifically but not limited to new product lines, localisation and Procurement/Supply Chain strategic sourcing projects. It will also include general administration of Business Support related activities e.g. PR creation, SharePoint audit submission, etc.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum three‑year tertiary diploma BCOM/Cost and Management Accounting / Financial Management / Project Management / Business Management / Engineering / Logistics Management
- At least three years’ experience working in the manufacturing or financial sector, preferably the automotive and finance industry
- At least three years’ experience in a Procurement and/or Supply Chain related environment
- Cross‑functional automotive and finance experience of at least 5 years will be advantageous
- Proficient in Excel, including the ability to create and manage pivot and lookup tables
- Proficient in SAP
- Ability to perform detailed process gap analysis
- Familiarity with Internal Procurement, Engineering and Materials Control processes
- Project Management Skills

Duties and Responsibilities
- New product project sourcing, coordinate cost book and sourcing plan by localisation component commodity focusing on:
- Component tooling investment and consolidation
- Secure IMCT source cost data to be used as a reference / benchmark for local component localisation cost target setting
- Develop component product sourcing project timing plan working with the Buyers on their respective portfolios
- Prepare localisation investment payback business case
- Project and budget investment planning
- Facilitate, update and distribute records of new Procurement/Logistics/Supply chain projects
- Coordinate project plan and inputs
- Collate procurement and Logistics Strategic Project report consolidation through the individual respective project leads
- Lead Enterprise and Supplier Development project execution for approved projects
- Review and store all associated BBBEE documentation such as signed agreements, invoices, proof of payment and letters of appreciation, together with any employment reference documents, such as employment contracts
- Prepare monthly Enterprise and Supplier Development leadership project program review reports for decision making and issue minutes of meeting
- Reporting including but not limited to:
- Management Operations weekly reports
- BBBEE reporting
- EFT reports
- Business Management System status reports
- Audits including:
- BBBEE mini audit
- APDP process followed and any potential threats highlighted and corrective action
- Pricing and Vendor Analysis
