Role Overview

The Countertop Measurer & Technical Draughtsman will be responsible for conducting on-site measurements and producing accurate technical drawings (cutting lists) for fabrication. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all measurements and specifications are precise, enabling seamless manufacturing and installation processes. The successful candidate will liaise directly with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and executed.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site visits to accurately measure countertops and related surfaces
• Prepare detailed cutting lists and technical drawings (manual or digital) for factory production
• Interpret architectural plans, kitchen layouts, and design specifications
• Liaise with clients, kitchen companies, and internal teams to confirm project requirements
• Ensure all measurements and drawings meet quality and accuracy standards
• Identify and resolve potential measurement or installation challenges on-site
• Support the fabrication and installation teams by providing clear and precise documentation
• Travel to various sites within Centurion and occasionally across South Africa and Africa

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in measurement and/or technical drawing within a related industry
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and layouts
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
• Physically able to conduct on-site measurements

Additional Information

• The company works closely with established kitchen brands, including Easylife Kitchens, as well as private clients
• Projects may extend beyond Centurion to other regions within South Africa and occasionally across Africa
• This is an urgent appointment
