What the Role Is About
As Country Manager, you’ll act as the senior leader in Angola, responsible for stabilising, structuring, and scaling a fast-growing operation. You’ll balance governance with growth, ensuring the business is compliant, commercially sound, and built for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all in-country operations with full P&L accountability
- Establish strong financial controls, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Manage legal, tax, and regulatory requirements in Angola
- Build and scale a structured, high-performing local team
- Strengthen relationships with government, regulators, and key clients
- Drive sustainable growth while maintaining operational excellence
What We’re Looking For
- CA(SA) qualified (or equivalent) with additional qualifications in Business, Engineering or Economics (MBA preferred)
- 10-15 years’ experience, with exposure to executive leadership (e.g. COO, CFO, MD level)
- Background in industrial sectors (oil & gas, engineering, mining, construction)
- Strong financial and governance expertise (CA(SA) highly preferred)
- Proven experience operating across African markets
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
- Diplomatic, culturally aware leader with strong emotional intelligence
