Seeking a CPA with advanced accounting experience in tax strategy and forensic accounting. We need a full-time, long-term, all-star accountant who is a team player, meaning that you are willing to help your colleagues in order to better the firm. Your ambition and drive will be tested in this fast-paced environment. Candidates for the position must possess excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, and a minimum of a four (4) year college degree, either specifically in finance, accounting, or economics, or equivalent post-college work experience. MUST HAVE VERY GOOD ENGLISH.
Qualifications & Skills
- Professional Credentials: Must hold a valid CPA certification or equivalent.
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality, honesty, ethics, and morals
- Preparation of tax returns
- Sufficient in accounting information systems and related software
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally combining corporate accounting with international or US-facing business operations.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills - Communication & Drive: Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You must be comfortable working across different time zones.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines accurately
- Able to work well in a team environment involving multiple client industries
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced proficiency with modern cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks Enterprise, Xero) and remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom).
- Accounting experience: At least 5 to 10 years (Required)

Responsibilities
- Balance financial records and check for inaccuracies.
- Audit individual accounts on a random or scheduled basis.
- Check for major financial departures from the standard or expected results.
- Ensure projects stay on budget, timely, and accurate.
- Work with senior CPAs to establish improvements to production.
- Prepare tax returns for various types of clients.
- Maintain the quality standards that we teach and contribute to improvements.
Your duties will include preparing financial statements, accounting records, financial projections, tax return filings, and other accounting-related projects for our senior CPA’s to review and quality control before they meet with clients to discuss their financial matters. Once you prove your ability to prepare projects, you will also be trained on reviewing financial statements, tax returns, filing forms, general ledgers, and financial accounting projects for errors and accuracy.
You must have proven in your current and earlier positions that you can produce at a high level of support for the senior CPAs and are willing to learn and advance in becoming a senior CPA. You listen well, understand clients easily, and are known for using a high level of common sense to make sure that those who need our professional assistance will get it correctly. The more we help, the faster our clients can control their finances and be able to expand.
You are very organized and are a professional who is able to produce quality work with quick turnaround and attentive service in order to return all forms of communication. You must have a broad base tax experience involving individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, and Partnerships (YOU WILL BE TRAINED IN THESE AREAS).
You will be a very important part of our team, and our client base will expand a lot faster through your efforts to assist them. Most important is that you love to help people and take pride in your work.
Additional Information
- Location: Fully Remote (Based in Malaysia)
- Company Headquarters: New York, USA
- Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 HOURS PER WEEK) (January 15 to April 17 – 50-60 hours per week)
- Salary: Commensurate with experience
- Hours: Flexible, with a required overlap for collaboration with the New York executive team.
