About
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of our client in the Kitchener–Waterloo area for an experienced Credit Collections Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong commercial collections experience and a background in construction credit and accounts receivable management.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Manage a portfolio of commercial customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances
- Contact customers by phone, email, and other communication methods to follow up on overdue invoices and secure payment commitments
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and account concerns promptly and professionally
- Review delinquent accounts, identify risk factors, and recommend credit holds or escalation when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities and customer communications
- Support credit limit reviews through customer financial analysis and account monitoring
Construction Credit Administration
- Monitor lien rights and ensure compliance with applicable construction-related regulations
- Process progress billing reports and schedules of values for active contracts
- Assist with tracking project-related payment timelines and documentation requirements
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as a key contact for customer inquiries related to accounts receivable and credit matters
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase departmental efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams to support accurate billing and account resolution
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of B2B collections or accounts receivable experience
- Experience within construction credit or a related industry is considered a strong asset
- CCP designation or post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, or Bookkeeping preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and reporting functions
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Working Conditions
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Office-based environment in the Kitchener–Waterloo area
