Credit Controller

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Credit Controller to join our finance team based in Atlantis, Cape Town. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the credit control function, ensure effective management of debtor accounts and maintain healthy cash flow within the business. This role is best suited to someone who is detail-oriented, assertive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full credit control function from start to finish
• Monitor and maintain debtor accounts, ensuring timely collections
• Conduct credit checks and assess customer risk profiles
• Follow up on overdue accounts and ensure consistent collections
• Allocate payments and perform accurate account reconciliations
• Handle and resolve account queries and disputes promptly
• Prepare and maintain age analysis reports
• Enforce and improve credit control policies and procedures
• Liaise with internal departments and external clients
• Assist with month-end processes and reporting

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a full-function Credit Controller role
• Strong understanding of credit control processes and debtor management
• Experience working on accounting or ERP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
