Cross-Platform Fintech Software Engineer
Astute Search
About the role
This is one of the most sophisticated technology environments in finance. Hundreds of engineers, traders, and researchers across Windows and Linux desktops, with AI tools starting to touch every workflow.
The seams between those platforms create friction. This team eliminates it.
What you're walking into
An established, top-pedigree systems team with direct access to the firm's technologists. You'll identify integration gaps, build cross-platform tooling, and ship things people actually use. The LLM angle is real. They're embedding AI capabilities into internal workflows, but they want someone who builds reliable software first and treats AI as a tool, not a headline.
Day one through year one
You'll own projects end to end. Windows-native development in C# is the foundation. Go, Python, or Rust for the cross-platform and scripting work. No committee. No six-month planning cycles. You pitch, build, and ship.
Long term
This shop promotes from within and compensates accordingly. Engineers here build institutional credibility fast when they deliver. The cross-platform systems team has visibility across the entire firm.
What this job is not
Not a web stack role. Not a team lead position. Not an AI engineer title with vague responsibilities.
This is a hands-on IC position for someone who understands low-level platform conventions and has the scars to prove it.
