CT-based Staff Accountant - HNW Family Office - Mostly Remote!

An Ultra High Net Worth Family Office is seeking a hands‑on Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant to join their lean, collaborative team. This is a premier SFO that has been established to manage generational wealth across a myriad of investments. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a confidential, fast‑moving environment that supports UHNW individuals. This is a warm, personable, and collaborative group of individuals.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with HNW Individuals.

This role is based in Greenwich and only requires 1 day per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Review, organize, and process invoices and approved purchase requests with proper coding and documentation; prepare weekly payables summaries and track outstanding obligations.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and support quarterly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Record transactions accurately in the general ledger and maintain account balances.
  • Maintain organized digital financial records, ensuring documentation is complete and accessible.
  • Oversee financial and compliance records for vehicles and artwork.
  • Manage vendor relationships, monitor invoices and contracts, maintain payment histories, and support 1099 preparation.
  • Contribute to ad hoc accounting projects, system improvements, and operational support as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or family office support.
  • Solid background in accounts payable and account reconciliations.
  • Comfortable working in QuickBooks and Excel, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive team player who takes ownership and operates with a flexible, hands‑on approach.
  • Maintains a high degree of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.

Compensation

Salary: $80K – $120K + bonus and excellent benefits

The above salary range represents Advice's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is not reflective of the total compensation package, which may also include benefits, equity and other non‑cash incentives.
