Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
- Prepare and position patients for CT examinations, ensuring comfort and safety
- Administer contrast media as required and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment efficiently and accurately
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Review images for quality and completeness prior to radiologist interpretation
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using PACS/RIS systems
- Comply with hospital policies, infection control standards, and BC regulatory requirements
Top Qualifications
- Active registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) as a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)
- CAMRT certification (required)
- CT certification / advanced CT training (required or strongly preferred)
- Minimum 6 months of recent CT experience (hospital/acute care preferred)
- Current BLS certification
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and patient‑care skills
