Customer Engineer- AV Support

Akkodis is seeking a Customer Engineer- AV Support for a contract job with a client in Los Angeles, CA (Onsite).

Rate Range: $30/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, onsite AV support for conference rooms and collaboration spaces to ensure meetings run smoothly
• Act as the first point of contact for any AV-related issues, responding through tools like ServiceNow, Slack, and ticketing systems
• Conduct daily room checks (sweeps) to make sure all systems are fully operational and meeting-ready, including:
  • Verifying conferencing systems (PCs / Google Meet setups)
  • Testing cameras, microphones, speakers, and displays
  • Identifying and fixing issues like frozen panels or disconnected devices
  • Ensuring rooms are clean, organized, and set to the correct inputs
• Troubleshoot issues across platforms like Zoom and Google Meet, along with AV hardware
• Support basic meeting and event setups when needed
• Escalate more complex technical issues (hardware, firmware, system-level) to senior AV technicians or engineering teams
• Assist with minor hardware replacements, installations, and updates onsite
