About the role

Job Overview:

The Customer Solutions Engineer Level II serves as a vital link in our Professional Services EDI team, delivering an array of EDI solutions powered by Rocket Software's EDI products. From implementation and training to consultation and support, you will be the trusted advisor that customers rely on for best practices globally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional, value-driven services to our customers efficiently.
  • Translate customers' business requirements into effective technical EDI solutions.
  • Analyze, create, test, and implement EDI transactions using Rocket EDI systems.
  • Design streamlined processing for incoming and outgoing EDI messages, ensuring effective communication with customers and suppliers.
  • Deploy completed EDI processes and facilitate a smooth transition to the Rocket EDI Support team.
  • Provide ongoing technical support during and post-implementation for EDI configurations and setup.
  • Contribute to building organizational knowledge around EDI and transaction standards.
  • Actively participate in swiftly resolving EDI issues as part of 2nd and 3rd tier support.
  • Stay ahead of emerging EDI technologies; recommend and assist with the implementation of relevant solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related EDI analyst or consulting role.
  • Experience with mapping and configuring EDI using various EDI translators.
  • Familiarity with EDI standards: EDIFACT, X12, VDA, ODETTE.
  • Understanding of NON-EDI messages: SAP IDOC, XML/cXML, JSON, CSV, Fixed-Length.
  • Knowledge of Communication Standards: OFTP2, AS2, X400, FTP/SFTP, VAN.
  • Proficient in database technologies such as MySQL and MSSQL.
  • Proficient in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Basic programming knowledge in languages such as Java, C, .NET, JS, Python, PERL.
  • Basic knowledge of XSLT.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese is a plus.
