Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Maximo Application Suite Architect / Pre‑Sales Specialist, the candidate’s role is to support sales teams and key enterprise clients in qualifying business needs and designing high‑value asset and maintenance management solutions.

They are involved early in the sales cycle to qualify opportunities and to design and deliver technical demonstrations of the IBM Maximo Application Suite (Manage, Mobile, Monitor, Visual Inspection, Predict, Collaborate, AI Service) to prospects and strategic customers.

They are responsible for building technical responses to RFIs and RFPs, including defining the target architecture, integration flows with the customer’s information system, and ensuring functional coverage of the expressed requirements.

They lead discovery workshops aimed at clarifying EAM / CMMS challenges, in close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.

They design and develop demonstrators and Proofs of Concept (POCs) tailored to specific industry contexts (energy, industrial, transportation, utilities, defense, etc.), and ensure proper documentation and knowledge capitalization.

Working closely with sales teams, they contribute to defining the value proposition, building the customer ROI, and drafting the technical sections of proposals.

They also collaborate with the partner ecosystem and actively monitor the EAM/CMMS market, competitors, and the IBM Maximo Application Suite roadmap.

Interpersonal and Behavioral Skills

The role requires excellent presentation, communication, and technical storytelling skills, in both French and English, with a proven ability to adapt messaging to both executive audiences (CIO, CFO) and technical experts in the field.

Autonomy, rigor, teamwork, and a strong results‑driven mindset are essential to succeed in a multidisciplinary pre‑sales environment.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite – Functional Expertise

  • In‑depth expertise in IBM Maximo Manage, including work order management, asset management, preventive maintenance, inventory management, and procurement.
  • Expertise in the Asset Configuration Management (ACM) module for managing and controlling complex asset configurations.
  • Knowledge of industry‑specific modules and extensions such as Aviation, Nuclear, and HSE, as well as the associated regulatory constraints.
  • Strong understanding of Maximo OSLC integrations and REST APIs to ensure interoperability with enterprise information systems.

MAS – Technical and Platform Expertise

  • Hands‑on experience with Maximo Application Suite deployments on Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), including pods, namespaces, operators, and containerized architectures.
  • Knowledge of database administration in a Maximo / MAS environment.
  • Understanding of integration architectures, including MIF, REST APIs, Kafka, MQ, and middleware components.
  • Ability to analyze application logs and Java stack traces, particularly in pre‑sales or troubleshooting contexts.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments, including IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS, and sovereign cloud platforms (e.g., S3NS).

Business and Industry Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance processes: corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
  • Understanding of industry regulatory challenges, particularly in highly regulated environments (aviation, nuclear safety, etc.).
  • Proficiency in maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs), such as MTBF, MTTR, asset availability, and reliability.
  • Professional experience in at least one key industry: energy, transportation, industrial, or utilities.
