BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors, is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Analyst to join our team at our chemical manufacturing facility in Radford, VA. As a Principal Cyber Analyst, you will be responsible for operating network security tools on Operational Technologies, (OT) network, providing timely reporting and remediation of identified threats, and ensuring the security of our operations. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
What you'll do
- Assess, configure, and operate network security tools to detect and respond to threats in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment
- Provide Computer Network Defense (CND) of the Operations/Controls network, ensuring compliance with DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-82, and NIST SP 800-53
- Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to analyze security events, develop incident response plans, and implement mitigation recommendations
- Deliver technical security expertise in the operations and maintenance of an Operations CND system
- Develop, maintain, and update documentation for cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures
