Your Daily Life
The Toulouse Champollion site brings together activities in satellite systems engineering, payload design and development, and ground segment development and qualification. It also includes a research center and an industrial accelerator for start-ups and ventures, as well as activities related to very low-temperature science, with the development and production of microcoolers for demanding markets.
As part of the European GALILEO program, a satellite navigation system (GNSS), Thales Alenia Space develops and operates key elements of the ground segment, including the Key Management Facilities (KMF).
The KMF is an on-premise IaaS / CaaS oriented platform that hosts numerous critical applications for the Galileo program. You will join a team of about 20 people, working on the first generation of the Galileo ground segment, for which Thales Alenia Space is the prime contractor.
In an Agile / SAFe environment, you will contribute to the implementation of cybersecurity solutions on a strategic and classified project requiring European Union clearance.
Your Daily Life
As a Cyber Security Engineer / Cyber Security Manager, you are responsible for implementing cybersecurity specifications for an element of the Galileo ground segment.
In this role, you will:
- Define implementation plans for security rules and specifications
- Support the implementation of security and hardening measures, as well as risk assessment and mitigation activities
- Supervise planned cybersecurity tasks
- Monitor the performance of the security management system and the effectiveness of implemented measures
- Prepare internal and client reviews
- Report on security activities: progress, planning, risks, and blocking points
- Promote good security practices among teams involved in the GALILEO program
- Participate in peer reviews on other program elements.
Your Profile
You hold a degree from an engineering school or equivalent (Bac +5).
Do you have experience in systems engineering and cybersecurity (requirements, V&V, DOORS traceability, hardening)? Do you have strong technical skills in operating systems, virtualization, containers, or network protocols? Are you familiar with Common Criteria and associated security requirements? Are you able to write clear and structured technical documentation? Do you work in an Agile / SAFe environment and enjoy teamwork? Are you comfortable understanding, writing, and speaking English in an international context (minimum C1 level)?
