KNDS Deutschland Mission Electronics GmbH is an IT system house in the security and defense sector. As a subsidiary of KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co KG, the electronics specialist from Lake Constance has been developing complex and hardened IT systems in hardware and software in close cooperation with customers for over four decades. As a long-standing partner of the Bundeswehr, the solutions from the Konstanz system house form the digital backbone of the army's combat vehicles.

The System Engineering department deals with the development of solutions for military communication, for hardened hardware platforms, and for monitoring and testing systems. We think in terms of system interrelationships and accompany our customers throughout the entire life cycle, from idea generation and requirements analysis through realization and commissioning/fielding to maintenance and support. Our focus is on software development, where we cover a wide range of topics from firmware and driver development, middleware and application development, to user interface design. We work together in cross-functional project teams and place great importance on good communication and honest feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Contact person for information security in the development of military equipment
  • Support and co-design of information security processes in close cooperation with hardware and software development
  • Development and support of information security concepts and architectures, including the creation of customer-specific documentation
  • Execution and support of risk analyses
  • Consultation and support for project teams regarding the implementation and verification of security-relevant requirements
  • Establishment, implementation, and continuous further development of an ISMS according to ISO/IEC 27001

Profile

  • Completed studies in computer science, IT security, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of information security, IT security, and risk management
  • Good knowledge of relevant security standards/frameworks (e.g., BSI-Grundschutz, IEC 27001, IEC 62443)
  • Willingness to take responsibility for development projects and the ISMS in the role of Information Security Officer
  • Strong analytical skills, assertiveness, and communication skills
  • Very good German language skills, confident expression in spoken and written language
  • Teamwork and structured way of working
