What you'll contribute

As a Cyber Security Engineer OT (w/m/d), you will support the design responsible persons in fulfilling cybersecurity requirements. In this role, you will be part of several customer projects for Commuter Rail vehicles in various project phases.

• You will work closely with our central security organization, receive technical support there, and be part of the SMO RS Security Community.
• You will define necessary activities that are required in addition to existing security processes to ensure Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance for our vehicles.
• You will review and evaluate the complete implementation of the CRA requirements and report the results to the CR Engineering Management.
• You will participate in the EN Design Review process regarding Cyber Security and support the implementation of the "Security by Design" approach at the various levels: component, subsystem, and vehicle.

What you bring

• You have completed a Master's degree in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
• You also have initial professional experience in the IT security of rail vehicles or comparable products.
• You are generally familiar with the product/system development process, and you are familiar with dealing with subsystem suppliers in the context of security.
• You have advanced knowledge of risk analyses and the assessment of security vulnerabilities.
• You also have knowledge of IT security technologies and their conception (e.g., firewalls, VPN, AV SW, etc.), as well as in embedded systems.
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as IEC62443 or the CRA regulation is an advantage.
• You have a strong command of the English language and ideally good German language skills.
