Cyber Security Engineer - Projects & Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Role:

At the interface between IT operations, security architecture, and project management, a field of activity arises that combines technical depth with organizational skill. We are looking for a personality who thinks holistically about security – and takes on both operational and strategic responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management and active participation in cyber security and infrastructure projects of varying complexity
• Coordination of security-relevant topics between local IT teams and international corporate units
• Development, maintenance, and further development of a structured IT documentation landscape, including security policies and system concepts
• Management of external implementation partners and specialist consultants – from tender to acceptance
• Shared responsibility for the stable operation and continuous monitoring of the IT infrastructure
• Analysis of threat scenarios and derivation of concrete measures based on recognized security frameworks
• Support of compliance processes and audits within the framework of international security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC)

Qualifications:

• Solid IT education or degree with a focus on computer science, IT security, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in the combination of IT project management and cyber security
• In-depth know-how in Microsoft environments (Active Directory, Entra ID, Defender) as well as Linux system administration
• Practical knowledge in the application of cyber security frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Experience in managing external partners and in stakeholder management at various hierarchical levels
• Knowledge of cloud security architectures (Azure Security Center, Microsoft Sentinel or similar) is an advantage
• Analytically strong, self-reliant personality with a clear communication style in German and English
