Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Cyber Security Sales Account Manager to join our growing sales team. The successful candidate will focus on new business acquisition, while also managing and growing existing client relationships. You will be responsible for selling our comprehensive portfolio of cyber security solutions, managed security services (MSSP), and IT security solutions to mid-market and enterprise clients across various industries.
This is a hunter-style role with a strong emphasis on new client acquisition in the highly competitive cyber security market.
Key Responsibilities • New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in the cyber security space. • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. • Sell a full range of cyber security solutions including (but not limited to): Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Network Security, SIEM, SOC-as-a-Service, Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, and Compliance solutions. • Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients to drive upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities. • Conduct consultative sales engagements, understanding client pain points, business objectives, and security challenges to position Prima Secure as the trusted advisor. • Work closely with pre-sales engineers, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver compelling proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts. • Accurately forecast sales pipeline and maintain detailed records in the CRM system. • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to generate leads and increase market visibility. • Collaborate with marketing and channel partners to execute joint go-to-market strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications • Minimum 4–6 years of proven B2B sales experience in IT Solutions, Managed Services, or Cyber Security sales. • Strong track record of new business acquisition (hunter mentality) with consistent achievement of sales targets. • Deep understanding of cyber security concepts, technologies, and current threat landscape. • Experience selling Managed Security Services (MSSP/MDR/SOC) is highly advantageous. • Proven ability to sell complex technical solutions to C-level executives (CIO, CISO, CTO, IT Directors). • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Self-motivated with a high degree of resilience and ability to work independently. • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within South Africa when required.
Education • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+,
