Key Responsibilities
- Lead Development of Cybersecurity Technical Solutions for RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, ensuring they are both technically sound and compliant with solicitation requirements.
- Translate client and project requirements into structured, clear, and effective technical approaches that meet business needs.
- Contribute to Proposal Writing:
- Technical solution volumes
- Management and transition strategies
- Staffing strategies and labor mix justification
- Capability statements and past performance narratives
- Work closely with Business Development, Capture Managers, Project Managers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to shape and refine competitive, high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in proposal color team reviews, helping to refine the technical approach and solution strategy.
- Identify and emphasize technical strengths and unique aspects of the proposed solutions to stand out in the competitive bidding process.
- Ensure proposed solutions are in alignment with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, RMF, Zero Trust, FedRAMP, and cloud security best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for service innovation, process enhancement, and optimization in cybersecurity service delivery models.
- Contribute to discussions around strategic direction, technical approaches, and solution refinement to ensure alignment with business goals.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity across multiple domains, including governance, cloud security, risk management, operations, vulnerability management, and compliance.
- Proven experience developing detailed technical solutions and contributing to federal or commercial proposals, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
- Solid grasp of service-based cybersecurity delivery models, with an emphasis on scalability, security, and compliance.
- Ability to convert complex, often ambiguous requirements into clear, structured, and persuasive technical solutions that align with client needs and compliance standards.
- Experience supporting competitive proposal efforts from start to finish, including crafting technical responses, managing timelines, and collaborating with internal teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working on federal contracts with familiarity in NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, ISO 27001, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and how they can be applied in both commercial and federal environments.
- Background in working within a consulting or government contracting environment, including an understanding of proposal dynamics, pricing models, and staffing needs.
