Our client is looking for a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT security team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats to protect our company resources and data. You will work with state-of-the-art security tools to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop proactive measures to defend against attacks. The position requires a deep understanding of network security, system administration, and common attack methods. You will be part of a dedicated team that maintains the security of our digital infrastructure. The workplace is located in our office in St. Pölten, Lower Austria, AT.

Responsibilities

  • Continuous monitoring of network security devices and systems to detect security breaches.
  • Analysis of security events and logs to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Response to security incidents, including containment, investigation, and recovery.
  • Conducting vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
  • Development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Consulting on the implementation and maintenance of security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus).
  • Creating reports on security status, incidents, and recommendations.
  • Collaboration with IT teams to ensure security aspects are considered in all systems.
  • Evaluation of new security technologies and trends.
  • Training employees on security practices.
  • Management of access rights and user accounts.
  • Documentation of security procedures and configurations.
  • Participation in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in network security and Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Knowledge of common security tools and protocols (TCP/IP, firewall management, SIEM).
  • Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security features.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Analytical skills to assess security risks.
  • Good communication skills in German and English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Teamwork and cooperation skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GSEC are advantageous.
  • Commitment to continuous learning in the field of cybersecurity.
