About the role
Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Software/Data Engineer will be a key member of an Agile team focused on enhancing security measures within financial applications. This remote role offers flexibility while contributing to critical security integrations and product enhancements. Candidates should possess strong programming skills and a foundational understanding of encryption, certificates, and key management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with application teams to design and implement secure integrations aimed at boosting application security.
- Establish effective relationships with various stakeholders, including Information Security teams, to ensure alignment on systems architecture and security controls.
- Lead project initiatives by organizing tasks, tracking deliverables, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
- Document all project phases, ensuring comprehensive coverage from requirements gathering to ongoing support materials.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or Node.
- Strong understanding of encryption techniques and key/certificate management systems.
- Experience with tools like Venafi or CyberArk is advantageous.
- Architectural mindset with experience in troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Familiarity with HashiCorp or IBM Vault and concepts like tokenization and PQC is preferred.
- Ability to create comprehensive unit tests for integration reliability.
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
