About the role

Cybersecurity Solutions Architect serves as security technology and solutions adviser with pragmatic experience in IT Security, OT Security, Cloud Security, Identity & Access Management, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Security Intelligence & Analytics, Vulnerability Management, Cyber Resilience, Governance, Risks & Compliance (GRC) and other Emerging security technologies.

The main role of security solutions architect will lead the technology solutions engagement who can speak about the security trends, threat landscape, architectural models, and solutions credibly, and possess the ability to discuss and present technical security solutions to senior members of a client team. Foremost, he/she develops enterprise security architecture aligned with business strategy and compliance needs.

As the role of Cybersecurity Solutions Architect also leads technical discovery workshop to identify client business challenges, uncover client IT estate, drive new business opportunities, conducting Proof-of-Values (PoV), and responsible to develop value‑drive solutions proposal responding to RFP/RFI. The architect needs proven knowledge and experience with designing Enterprise Security Architecture, architecture standards, blueprints, design patterns etc. In addition, the architect must have knowledge and experience with DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Application Security, and industrial security.

The architect will supporting the sales organization to grow the security revenue for India region. At the experienced level, the architect continues to develop new offers in line with future market expectation, optimising processes, and standardising governance, educating sales to position new offers as well as support account teams to grow the business on multinational customers, replicating innovative ideas from country to country, align our solutions strategy with our partners.

Expected Business Results

  • Identify and drive technical security solutions opportunities on current engagement, leading on solution development, negotiations, and contract signature.
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of the client's security requirements, challenges, and objectives with the ability to articulate the solutions value proposition to gain client buy‑in.
  • Takes responsibility for overall solutions pricing component and drives cost optimization with internal stakeholders and partners where possible to facilitate the account team to win against competition.

Client Success

  • Good understanding of the sales cycle, buying personas, and decision‑making processes, and how to successfully navigate through the sales & buying cycle.
  • Lead client workshops and manage key client stakeholders as required to effectively demonstrate our solution differentiator from competitors, ultimately driving a successful engagement and long‑term client relationships.
  • Demonstrating deep technical expertise in cybersecurity technologies, architectures, and industry best practices.
  • Integrate frameworks like NIST 800‑53, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc. into architecture designs.
  • Converting the Proof‑of‑Value (PoV) demonstrations or pilot projects to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions in the client's environment to order booking.
  • Empowering the client to make informed decisions about their security strategy and investments through clear and concise communication.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset encouraging sales, pre‑sales, and delivery organizations.
  • Ability to quantify the return on investment (ROI) of implementing the proposed solutions, including cost savings and risk reduction benefits to clients.
  • Lead innovative unique solutions with partners to drive new business growth and/or attain quick revenue recognition.
  • Develop new methods based on successful solutions engagements and contribute to knowledge management for global solutions practices.
  • For areas of specialism, demonstrate expertise through external events, Proof‑of‑Values and whitepapers.

  • Act as a mentor sharing expertise and seek out senior mentors to gain insight into leadership styles and growth opportunities.
  • Lead security solutions engagements or contribute as part of large project engagements. Act as a role model to both technical and sales team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand all Orange Cyberdefense service offerings and stay abreast of changes and enhancements
  • Inform Account Managers of service offerings and changes
  • Attend and arrange customer meetings
  • Respond to tender, RFQ, RFP and RFI requirements
  • Write proposals and scope of work
  • Assist Account Managers in closing deals
  • Facilitate the delivery of proof of concepts services and solutions
  • Attend training sessions, both in‑house, vendor specific and external
  • Extend professional and sustainable relationships with clients, distribution and vendor with eye on maximum sales figures.

About you

Experience / Knowledge Required

  • Demonstrable experience as a security consultant/architect, preferably presales experience
  • Extensive experience of the security industry
  • Experience with Managed Security Services portfolios specifically Security Operations Centres as well as Cyber Security Operation Centres
  • Expert in network security, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), IAM, data protection, application security.
  • Customer facing experience with strong presentation skills
  • Experience in writing proposals and scopes, responding to tenders/RFQ/RFP/RFI
  • Knowledge of SIEM technologies including Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto Network, and other leading SIEM technology
  • Understanding of security technologies from at least 3 of the following vendors: Palo Alto, Microsoft, Fortinet, Cisco, Zscaler, Netskope, Vectra, Checkpoint, etc
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence, tenacity, creativity and flexibility in thinking

Technical Competencies

  • Deep technical understanding across cybersecurity domains – Cloud Security, Data & Application Security, Incident Response, Security Intelligence and Operations / Threat Management / Digital Trust – with technology and architecture experience
  • Experience in designing, implementing and operational aspect of industrial security (OT Security) solutions such as Nozomi, Cisco, Microsoft, Armis, etc will be added advantage.
  • Knowledge of SASE (SD‑WAN & SSE), Zero Trust Architecture NIST SP 800‑207, cloud security & application security, Microsoft Security & Defender suites of services, etc
  • Prior experience as individual Subject‑Matter Expert (SME) / Contributor and managing delivery of cybersecurity solutions for a client managing senior stakeholders.
  • Experiences in Information Security Management (ISO 2700x, NIST, CIS, IEC 62443, Federal Office for Information Security (BSI))
  • Proficiency in risk management

Level of Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equal by experience
  • Security industry recognized certification: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Microsoft (AZ‑500, SC‑100, SC‑300 and SC‑400) certifications

Minimum Work Experience

  • 8 years of experience in a comparable function, with strong international experience

Job Context/Environment

  • Mainly home working with office work occasional
  • Core working hours, although some flexibility will be required
  • Travel to Orange or customer sites worldwide (up to 25%)
