Job Summary
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer in Presales to collaborate with account teams in assessing and understanding customer cybersecurity needs. As a customer-facing expert in cloud security, you will take a consultative approach to security projects, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of how security technology drives business success. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering new security service offerings to meet customer demands and opportunities.
This role is remote; however, candidates must reside in the Central or Northeast region of the U.S. as determined by SHI management.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with account teams to evaluate and comprehend customers' cybersecurity technologies and requirements.
- Engage with multiple layers of contacts within client organizations, including CIO, CSO, CISO, Security Engineers, and procurement to enhance customer relationships and align with their goals and objectives.
- Stay well-informed about our services in all solution practice areas through company training and self-directed learning.
- Educate sales teams on cybersecurity solution selling and key technologies using one-on-one, team, and company training formats.
- Remain updated on new technology, emerging trends, and market dynamics by studying sector developments.
- Advance your knowledge and skills through independent work and experimentation in lab facilities.
- Create collateral to support cybersecurity sales initiatives.
- Develop use cases in the SHI lab to facilitate sales engagements.

- Experience in identity management and security solutions.
- Deep technical expertise in identity governance and security, including IAM, PAM, IGA, SSO, MFA, CIAM, CLM, and PKI controls.
- Exceptional presentation skills, including running demos on identity security solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to research and resolve issues.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with a passion for technology.
- Solid documentation skills, including system/network diagrams and presentations.
- General understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, and CIS.
- Expertise in security solutions.
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, Relevant GIAC Certifications, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or similar certifications in Cyber Security OEMs.
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- 5+ years experience in a technical cybersecurity role.
- 3+ years experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
- Willingness to travel for SHI, partner, and customer events.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000, which includes a base salary and bonus. Compensation for this role is based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, and may vary accordingly. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
