Data Algorithms Engineer (m/w/d)

Overview

You will work at the intersection of mathematics and software, designing sophisticated analysis methods for real-world measurement data. You will develop algorithms and bring them to the stage of runnable software components. You will use programming languages and frameworks such as C++, Python, or Java, as well as tools for geometry and point cloud analysis. You enjoy optimizing complex numerical procedures and implementing them in interdisciplinary teams. The projects are industry-agnostic, ranging from technical products to solutions for service providers and public institutions.

Your Tasks

• Develop and implement mathematical algorithms for the evaluation of complex measurement data
• Process and analyze point clouds and geometric structures using suitable analysis libraries
• Optimize approximation and compensation methods for performance and robustness
• Work closely with software developers and testers and integrate algorithms into the product architecture
• Consider relevant standards and describe requirements and test scenarios
• Support documentation and creation of status reports for internal stakeholders
• Use modern collaboration and planning tools for coordination with technical, purchasing, and quality departments

Your Profile

• Completed degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a comparable field
• Good knowledge of numerical mathematics, algorithms, and geometry
• Experience in software development with C++ and ideally additional languages such as Python
• Think in terms of data structures and algorithms and approach problems analytically
• Enjoy working in a team and clearly communicate technical issues
• Interest in practical, technical applications
