About the Role
As a Journeyman Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting complex datasets to drive strategic decisions within a DOD environment. You’ll act as a primary technical resource, identifying trends, optimizing data collection systems, and ensuring statistical efficiency. This role requires the ability to perform all functional duties independently, from "cleaning" code to developing high-level reporting strategies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze & Report: Use statistical techniques to interpret data and provide actionable reports.
- Optimize Systems: Develop and implement databases and data collection systems to improve quality and efficiency.
- Data Maintenance: Acquire data from primary/secondary sources and maintain robust data systems.
- Trend Identification: Isolate patterns in complex datasets to support operational goals.
- Quality Control: Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to resolve code-level issues.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 10 years of Data Analysis experience specifically within a DOD environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
- Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
- Clearance: Active Secret security clearance.
