About the Internship
We are hiring two Data Analyst Interns to join our Data and Research team for Summer 2026. This is a hands-on role where you will work on real datasets, contribute to platform insights, and present your findings directly to senior team members and founders.
We value interns who ask questions, challenge assumptions, and bring a point of view to the data.
What You'll Do
Marketplace and platform data
- Maintain and improve datasets of ESG solution providers, including categorization, tagging, and structuring
- Identify gaps, duplicates, and inconsistencies in data and help improve overall data quality
- Build simple queries and internal tools to make data more usable across teams
Research and insights
- Support research initiatives by organizing and analyzing sustainability-related data
- Translate datasets into clear insights that can be used across product, content, and growth
- Contribute to internal notes, summaries, and insight-driven outputs
Jobs and ecosystem analytics
- Analyze trends across the ESG jobs ecosystem including roles, geographies, and hiring patterns
- Support dashboard creation and tracking of ecosystem activity
Audience and content analytics
- Analyze engagement across newsletters and platform content
- Identify patterns in what drives engagement and suggest improvements
Data and reporting
- Work with SQL, Python, or spreadsheets to clean, structure, and analyze datasets
- Build dashboards or reports to support decision-making
- Document workflows and datasets for internal use
Hiring Scope
We are hiring globally and welcome applications from students across geographies who can work in a remote, collaborative environment.
Tools and Tech Stack
You will get exposure to and work with:
- Languages and querying: SQL, Python (pandas, requests, BeautifulSoup)
- Visualization: Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
- Spreadsheets: Google Sheets and Excel for collaborative work and quick analysis
- Cloud and storage: AWS or GCP (basic exposure)
- Collaboration: Slack, Notion, GitHub, Google Workspace
You do not need experience with all of these. You should be comfortable picking up new tools quickly.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, or a related field (3rd or 4th year preferred)
- Currently registered in a co-op or for-credit internship program at an accredited post-secondary institution
- Returning to full-time studies after the work term (Fall 2026)
- Working knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries) and Python (pandas, basic scripting)
- Comfortable with Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Genuine interest in ESG, sustainability, climate data, or responsible investing
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Web scraping or API experience (BeautifulSoup, Selenium, requests, REST APIs)
- Version control with Git or GitHub
- Personal or academic projects involving data analysis, scraping, or visualization (please link in your application)
- Coursework or prior internship in finance, accounting, environmental science, or climate-related fields
