Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with strong mortgage domain expertise to join our team in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in enterprise data environments, advanced SQL, and Agile methodologies, along with the ability to translate business needs into actionable data insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with application owners to review and analyze business processes
  • Define and document technical and data requirements for enhancements
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum teams on features and design decisions
  • Develop and execute test plans, evaluate results, and perform post-production validations
  • Conduct requirement analysis for new capabilities and product enhancements
  • Communicate product vision, capabilities, and business value to stakeholders
  • Provide training, consultation, and mentorship to team members
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Data Analysis
  • Strong expertise in SQL and database querying (Advanced level)
  • Experience working in enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) environments
  • Strong background in data-driven applications and analytics
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Mortgage Industry (Required to understand mortgage data)
  • Prior experience with Secondary Mortgage firms (Plus)
  • Knowledge of software requirements management and testing
