At the heart of our activities is the Wacken Open Air - complemented by other IPs such as Full Metal Mayrhofen, Full Metal Cruise, Full Metal Holiday, and Metal Battle. Behind all these brands are complex data structures that need to be understood, linked, and strategically utilized.

We, the ICS Group, organize the world-renowned Wacken Open Air (W:O:A), which attracts over 84,000 heavy metal fans from all over the world each year to celebrate their favorite bands and their scene together.

In addition to W:O:A, we produce and organize a variety of live entertainment events with our various companies, from tours to cruises.

Your Role

As a Data Analyst, you will work at the interface of Marketing, Commercial, IT, and Product Development. You bring initial relevant professional experience and want not only to analyze but also to actively help develop and professionally build our data setup.

You will not be working in isolation: You will work in close coordination with the international Data Team of Superstruct Entertainment and be part of a larger network of Data and BI experts in the European live entertainment market.

1. Data Analysis & Reporting

You ensure that we not only collect our data but also use it systematically.

  • Analysis of event data (ticketing, onsite behavior)
  • Evaluation of CRM and loyalty data
  • Analysis of web, app, and tracking data
  • Development and further development of reports and dashboards
  • Participation in target group segmentation and fan profiles
  • Support in the structural expansion of our data models

You will develop a deep understanding of our fan and guest data and help build a robust analysis architecture.

2. Support for Marketing & Commercial

You integrate data into concrete decision-making processes.

  • Conducting campaign analyses and performance evaluations
  • Participation in KPI definitions and measurement logic
  • Analysis of customer journeys from the first touchpoint to the event visit
  • Data-based support for product, pricing, and target group decisions
  • Close coordination with marketing and revenue teams

You ensure that decisions are made based on facts.

3. External Data & Market Understanding

You actively contribute to the further development of our data setup.

  • Further development of reporting structures and analysis standards
  • Support in optimizing data flows and interfaces
  • Coordination of KPI definitions with the international Data Team of Superstruct
  • Exchange on tools, standards, and best practices within the group
  • Participation in group-wide data projects

You combine local know-how with international structure - and help create a scalable data basis for future growth.

Qualifications

  • Completed studies in Data Science, Statistics, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or comparable
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Marketing Analytics
  • Experience in structured work with databases, reporting environments, or analysis tools
  • Understanding of KPI logic, performance measurement, and data-based decision-making processes
  • Experience with CRM, marketing, e-commerce, or event data is an advantage
  • Interest in not just delivering analyses, but also in building structures
  • Structured, analytical mindset and high data affinity
  • Ability to prepare and present complex analyses understandably
  • Good English skills for collaboration in an international environment
  • Interest in music, event, or entertainment environments is an advantage
