Data Analyst (Mortgage domain)

Reston, Virginia (In Person Interview) Fulltime Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with application owners to review defined business processes.
  • Review and define technical and/or data requirements for moderately complex application enhancements.
  • Contribute to application test plan and evaluate test results.
  • Conduct requirement analysis and advanced work for new capabilities and enhancements for products and services owned by Enterprise data
  • Work with Product Owners and Scrum teams and lead discussion on features and requirements and weigh in design decisions for products and technology solutions.
  • Communicate product vision, capabilities, and value to various audiences. Prepare product briefing at pertinent stages of releases.
  • Provide consultation and training for product adoption, provide business domain and/or technology and/or process expertise across teams and mentoring to others on team.
  • Establish test scenarios, participate and review tests, and perform post-production validations for releases

Qualifications

  • 8+ Experience with data analysis
  • Experience with SQL and querying databases
  • Experience with software requirements management and testing
  • Knowledge of mortgage finance a plus
  • Knowledge of the Agile software development methodology a plus
  • Must have strong experience in Data Analysis in an enterprise DWH environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in SQL writing is required
  • Strong analyst background in data-oriented applications
  • Must have experience working in large, fast paced Agile projects.
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Industry must be able to understand mortgage data.
  • Prior experience with Secondary Mortgage firms is a plus.
