Requirements

• P&C insurance experience and Policy Administration experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership, energetic, confident demeanor
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5–8 years of software development experience
• Experience querying relational databases
• Data mapping and transformation experience
• Knowledge of structured analysis
• Experience using a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, including project planning and estimating
• Proficiency with SQL; ability to create queries for analysis, testing, and to assist developers
• Knowledge of Snowflake (or similar)
• Ability to work with minimal direction
• Ability to lead, direct, and drive efforts of other team members
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external partners

Responsibilities

• Implement a brand‑new policy administration system
• Fix bad data, track defects, and ensure completion of defect resolution
• Log defects in a tracking tool and perform testing
• Assist users with SQL queries and provide Snowflake expertise
• Analyze and clarify business requirements (internal and external)
• Provide work effort estimates to Project Managers
• Develop detailed functional and system specifications using SDLC methodologies and tools
• Collaborate with the Development team throughout all SDLC phases
• Develop use cases and support design, testing, and monitoring for compliance‑related reporting and discretionary projects
• Create data and transformation mapping specifications
• Develop test plans, test cases, and execute thorough testing
• Participate in unit, integration, user, and performance testing
• Manage requirement and testing accountabilities in close partnership with business and IT stakeholders
• Support audits and market conduct exams as needed
