About Us

In the Analytics department, we advise the business units of Migros Supermarket AG – from Finance, Category Management to Marketing and Operations – on strategic and operational issues. By generating data-based insights, defining and calculating meaningful KPIs, and developing analytical prototypes, we create the foundation for well-founded decisions.

What You'll Do

Core Tasks

  • Translate operational business questions into targeted analytics projects in close collaboration with the business units.
  • Independently plan and implement data analyses using modern tools and appropriate statistical methods.
  • Prepare and present clear, actionable insights – tailored to the target audience, from specialists to management.
  • Proactively advise business units on optimizing analyses, key figures, and data foundations.

Additional Tasks

  • Build and maintain trusting partnerships with stakeholders – always with a focus on their needs and goals.

What You Bring

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience in conducting complex data analyses and visualizations, as well as applying statistical methods.
  • Completed studies (University/ETH, FH, HF) in a quantitative field such as economics, mathematics, (business) informatics, or a comparable area.
  • German (very good knowledge).
  • English (very good knowledge).
  • French/Italian knowledge is an advantage.

Mandatory

  • Sound knowledge of SQL and experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Power BI.
  • Ability to develop and implement pragmatic and goal-oriented solutions, even with unclear requirements.
  • Competence to prepare and communicate complex issues understandably and convincingly for both technical and non-technical target groups.

Desired

  • Ideally, experience in the consumer goods and/or consulting sector.

  5. Meet the team: Whether someone fits into the team is an important factor for employees and employers when deciding for or against employment. In a relaxed setting, we therefore offer the opportunity for everyone to get to know each other.
  6. Offer & Contract issuance (Digital): After our verbal job offer, the most important contract points will be verified again. After agreement, the contract creation will be commissioned and sent by email for digital signature. Duration until feedback: Up to one week
