Senior Data Architect

About

We are currently sourcing a Senior Data Architect for a high-impact 19-week contract engagement supporting the modernization of a major Canadian airline’s operational data platform.

This is a hands-on architecture leadership role where you will own the Canonical Data Model (CDM), schema governance, source-to-target mappings, and PostgreSQL data architecture for a real-time operational platform integrated with Lufthansa NetLine via MuleSoft.

• Location: Canada (Toronto preferred | Remote within Canada considered)
• Duration: 19 weeks
• Start: Immediate
• Engagement: Full-time contract

Key areas of focus:

• Airline operational data domains (flight, crew, fuel, disruption)
• PostgreSQL architecture & Amazon RDS
• XML/XSD-driven canonical data modeling
• Liquibase/Flyway schema governance
• MuleSoft integration contracts
• Data performance tuning & schema optimization
• IATA AIDM-aligned enterprise data modeling

Requirements

• 8+ years in Data Architecture
• Strong PostgreSQL expertise in enterprise production environments
• Experience designing canonical/enterprise data models
• Strong schema governance and source-to-target mapping experience
• Ability to work closely with Solution Architects and delivery teams in an agile environment

Nice to have:

• Airline / aviation domain experience
• Lufthansa NetLine / Navitaire / Navblue exposure
• Familiarity with IATA AIDM or ARINC 633
