Coforge is seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise to support data‑driven decision making across underwriting, claims, policy, and actuarial functions. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into data requirements, insights, and actionable analytics.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Policy and Claims systems, with a strong understanding of how policy issuance, endorsements, billing, and claims lifecycle are related and flow across systems.
- Elicit, analyze, and document complex business and data requirements, translating them into clear functional and system specifications for technical teams.
- Perform detailed Source to Target Mapping (STM) for policy, claims, coverage, premium, and financial data across legacy and target systems.
- Conduct data analysis and data validation to support data migration, reconciliation, and reporting requirements.
- Clearly explain business use cases, insurance rules, and calculations (e.g., Earned Units, Written Premium, Incurred Amount, Loss Ratio) to data engineers, developers, and BI teams.
- Support and validate insurance terms, calculations and metrics, including Coverage Codes, Commercial Auto concepts, and Blanket Policies.
- Actively participate in data migration projects, supporting data profiling, mapping sign‑offs, defect analysis, and post‑migration validation.
- Collaborate with business users to understand reporting and analytical needs, ensuring downstream data models support accurate insurance insights.
- Work closely with architects and developers to ensure solution designs align with business intent and insurance domain standards.
- Preferably bring hands‑on or strong working knowledge of Duck Creek systems (Policy, Claims) and their underlying data structures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Systems Analyst in the Insurance domain.
- Deep understanding of Policy & Claims data models and insurance KPIs.
- Proven experience with data migration, STM, and data analysis.
- Ability to handle complex requirements and cross‑system dependencies.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge business and technical teams.
- Duck Creek experience (hands‑on or functional knowledge) is highly preferred.
Education / Qualification
- BE / B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc. / M.CA / M.TECH / Any Graduate.
