For an international data center organisation, we are looking for a Data Center Facility Engineer in Berlin. In this role, you are responsible for the operation and reliability of critical infrastructure within a live data center environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role with a high level of responsibility in a 24/7 operation.
What will you do?
You are responsible for keeping critical building systems operational at all times. You work closely with colleagues, contractors and customers on site.
Your responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining critical infrastructure (HVAC, UPS, generators, cooling systems)
- Monitoring systems and responding to alarms and incidents
- Performing maintenance activities and coordinating external contractors
- Executing customer requests (remote hands, cross-connects)
- Following and improving procedures (MOPs / SOPs)
- Supporting incident management and ensuring fast resolution
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement of operations
Depending on your experience, you may also take a more senior role in guiding colleagues and improving processes.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a hands-on engineer with experience in building-related or critical infrastructure.
You bring:
- Experience in a technical environment such as data centers, hospitals, industry, energy or large buildings
- Knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems (e.g. HVAC, UPS, generators, building systems)
- A proactive and responsible mindset
- The ability to work in a structured and safety-critical environment
- Willingness to work in a shift/on-call rotation
- Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar is preferred.
