Hardware Platform Development & Integration

  • Lead the integration of rack-level hardware platforms for data center implementation.
  • Ensure designs fulfill mechanical integrity, thermal efficiency, serviceability, and scalability requirements.
  • Advance system-level design across compute, cooling, and infrastructure interfaces.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to validate designs.

Data Center Interface & Deployment Readiness

  • Outline platform interfaces with infrastructure, including:
    • Liquid cooling systems (CDUs, fluid routing, connections).
    • Handling and installation processes.
    • Facility interfaces (space, power, cooling, serviceability).
  • Guarantee deployment readiness while addressing gaps that may hinder scalability.

Telemetry & Observability

  • Specify telemetry requirements (power, temperature, flow, pressure, system health).
  • Ensure that instrumentation is ready upon deployment.
  • Collaborate with software and data teams for monitoring and analysis.
  • Identify and address gaps in telemetry coverage and data quality.

Standards & Documentation

  • Promote standardization across rack platforms.
  • Establish best practices for connections, transport, leak detection, and instrumentation.
  • Keep updated documentation as a reliable source of reference.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work together with various teams including OHD, engineering, operations, supply chain, and software.
  • Align strategies with external partners (OEMs, silicon vendors).
  • Facilitate technical decisions and organize complex projects.

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and resolve platform issues, especially during early deployments.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Leverage field data and telemetry insights to enhance designs and processes.
