Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join a growing Corporate Data & Analytics team supporting enterprise-wide Analytics, Data Science, and AI initiatives. This is an exciting contract opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex large-scale data challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and operation of scalable data systems and pipelines from concept through production
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-quality data solutions
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on migration and integration initiatives
• Build and optimize reliable batch and real-time data pipelines
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term optimization
• Design and maintain semantic models and data assets to support self-service analytics
• Drive architectural improvements that reduce complexity and operational overhead
• Create technical documentation and standards to support scalability and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform development
• Strong hands-on experience with: Databricks Snowflake AWS Python SQL
• Experience with big data technologies including Spark, Trino, Hive, and cloud storage systems
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks like Airflow and BI/semantic layer tools such as ThoughtSpot or Cube
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, testing, and DevOps best practices
• Experience with graph/vector databases, conversational analytics, or agentic AI applications is a plus

Preferred Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
