About
The Senior Data & Analytics Engineer will play a critical role within the Asset Information Services (AIS) Analytics and Reporting team. This position is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of complex data architectures that support ’s asset performance and compliance reporting. You will lead the integration of disparate data sources into stable Oracle environments, ensuring high data integrity and providing the technical foundation for organizational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Data Engineering & ETL: Design, build, and optimize robust ETL pipelines from multiple source systems into Oracle databases. Perform complex data transformations to support quality assurance and asset inspection processes.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a lead consultant, providing development oversight for Oracle database systems. Review functional specifications and present technical designs to development leads to ensure alignment with ’s architectural standards.
- System Maintenance & Optimization: Develop, test, and maintain SQL, PowerShell, and VBA/VBScript solutions. Resolve usage issues, perform system integration activities, and execute batch processing to ensure 24/7 operational effectiveness.
- Database Administration: Provide local DBA support, including managing access controls, user privileges, and ensuring the security of asset data.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead requirements gathering sessions with business units, translate needs into conceptual design models, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create detailed process flows, job aids, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to build long-term capability and capacity within the organization.
Qualifications
- 9 years of consulting experience in reporting and analytics (or equivalent).
- 5 years (minimum 3 years with proven practice) of hands-on development in Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and PowerShell.
- Technical Skills
- Database Expert: Advanced proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; experience with performance tuning and designing stable, integrated data architectures.
- Scripting & Automation: Strong PowerShell skills for process automation; additional experience in VBA/VBScript for legacy system support.
- ETL/Data Modeling: Expert skills in data models and the construction of information architectures that enable integrated reporting.
- Tooling: Familiarity with Web Intelligence, Dashboarding tools, and Analysis frameworks.
- Problem Solving: A proactive approach to sourcing technical solutions (searching/integrating) rather than simple copy-pasting.

- Change Management: Advanced knowledge of organizational change management procedures and policies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing guidance to technical teams and status updates to leadership.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Nice to have Certifications (Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate, Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, ITIL 4 Foundation Ect)
Additional Information
- Candidates in this role will be working a a Hybrid Schedule (Monday and Tuesday in office days and Wed-Friday remote)
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
- Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
