The Data Engineer Co-Op will support end-to-end data operations by collecting, organizing, validating, preparing, documenting, and reporting on datasets while supporting data pipelines, labeling tasks, and workflow improvements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design and maintenance of data pipelines for analytics and AI-driven applications
• Assist in data collection and retrieval from various sources, including APIs, databases, and internal systems
• Organize and manage datasets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and proper structure
• Perform data labeling and annotation tasks to support model development and evaluation
• Conduct data review and validation, identifying inconsistencies, missing data, and anomalies
• Support the preparation of datasets for downstream use, including cleaning, formatting, and basic transformations
• Generate and assist in preparing reports, summaries, and dashboards for internal teams
• Document data sources, workflows, and processes for clarity and reproducibility
• Contribute to improving data workflows and identifying opportunities for automation
• Other projects/duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of data handling and data processing concepts
• Familiarity with Python, SQL or willingness to learn
• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools for data organization
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Python or another scripting language
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Exposure to databases or APIs
• Interest in AI, data engineering, or data analytics

This is an existing vacancy. The base salary range for this role listed is based on market indicators to determine compensation, and an offer will consider various factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and training.
