About the Role:

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Back-End Data Engineer for a contract arrangement. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across the AWS Cloud Platform – Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda. Exposure to Snowflake and dbt will be valuable. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining efficient real‑time data pipelines and systems that drive data analytics and decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines to integrate and transform data into data warehouses using AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark.

• Build and maintain efficient data workflows, ensuring smooth data loading and retrieval for analysis and reporting.

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other engineers to understand data needs and ensure seamless data flow across systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to data processes, pipelines, and back‑end systems.

• Ensure data integrity, security, and governance are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

• Optimise data models and structures for faster queries and better system performance.

• Comfortability with vast quantities of live streamed data.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Azure Databricks or other big data technologies.

• Knowledge of machine learning pipelines or advanced analytics.
