Data Engineer Contract Role

About

To support the scaling of a data platform, the full-time hourly Data Engineer Contract Role will focus on building and extending infrastructure, converting raw data into business-ready tables, and maintaining data pipelines in a remote environment for a duration of 3 or more months.

Responsibilities

• Expand silver and gold table coverage by converting raw data into business-ready tables with business logic from analytics stakeholders
• Maintain and debug data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory
• Validate incremental load logic and investigate data issues

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in analytics or data engineering
• Strong SQL skills, including multi-CTE queries and debugging capabilities
• Hands-on experience with a cloud data platform (e.g., Fabric, Databricks) and familiarity with Python/PySpark
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and knowledge of Delta Lake and medallion architecture
• Exposure to agentic AI workflows or AI-assisted development for debugging
