Data Engineer / Data Developer BI

For our client, a leading Swiss bank, we are looking for a Data Engineer / Data Developer BI to strengthen its Data team. You will join a small, highly cross-functional team involved in the entire data value chain, from collection to making it available to business units. The position offers a wide variety of activities, a demanding and regulated environment, as well as strong collaboration with business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve the Data Warehouse
• Implement and maintain data integration flows (ETL / SSIS)
• Develop and optimize SQL and T-SQL queries
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports
• Ensure daily and monthly data production (especially regulatory data)
• Extract, analyze, and structure data to produce reliable indicators
• Work on the entire data processing chain (collection, transformation, availability)
• Gather business needs, analyze them, and propose suitable solutions
• Support users in building and operating reports
• Actively participate in end-to-end data projects (analysis, development, testing, production deployment)
• Apply good development practices and ensure the quality of deliverables
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation

Qualifications

We are looking for a profile that meets the following criteria:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Developer, or BI Developer
• Excellent command of Data Warehouse environments and databases
• Advanced expertise in SQL / T-SQL (Oracle PL/SQL is a plus)
• Very good command of ETL tools, ideally SSIS
• Solid experience in reporting, particularly on Power BI (or equivalent tools like Tableau)
• Experience in a banking or financial environment highly appreciated, with an understanding of regulatory issues
• Ability to work in production on sensitive data with rigor and reliability
• Autonomous, structured, analytical profile with a strong sense of responsibility
• Ease in interacting with business teams and working cross-functionally
• Ability to manage multiple subjects in parallel, with a good sense of priorities
• Team spirit, flexibility, curiosity, and adaptability
• Knowledge of Cloud environments (Azure) appreciated
• Mastery of French (working language) and good level of English for professional exchanges
