Data Engineer – Data Platform Team

Overview

This is not a maintenance role. You will be a core member of the Group Data Platform Team, tasked with architecting and building the infrastructure that transforms raw data into actionable insights. Your impact will be foundational: you will design the pipelines and transformations that serve as the single source of truth for business operations across Europe. This is a chance to work with cutting-edge tech (Microsoft Fabric) and shape the data engineering culture of a major industry player.

Profile for Success

• Evidence of Building: Demonstrated experience not just maintaining, but designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure preferred).
• Transformation Mastery: Strong evidence of using SQL for complex transformations and a track record of implementing modern tools like dbt.
• Cloud Native Mindset: Proven ability to work with cloud data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric) and an understanding of how to optimize them for cost and performance.
• DevOps Discipline: Experience implementing CI/CD for data, using git for version control, and automating deployments.
