Data Engineer – Databricks / BigQuery / Snowflake

Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking experienced Data Engineering and Analytics professionals with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Databricks, Big Query, or Snowflake. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and enabling data- driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves working closely with cross- functional teams on modern data platform and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and analysis
• Work with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization across data platforms
• Integrate data from multiple sources and manage ETL/ELT processes
• Collaborate with analytics and BI teams to support reporting and dashboarding needs

Requirements

Basic Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
• Hands-on experience with at least one: Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Apache Spark or distributed data processing frameworks
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or similar
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Exposure to real-time data processing and streaming technologies
• Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with Git or CI/CD tools
