About the Role

RWE Onshore is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Embedded IT team in Essen. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining data pipelines and solutions that support our renewable energy projects. You will work closely with various teams to ensure data quality, accessibility, and usability.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop and optimize data models for various analytical and operational needs.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Implement data governance and security best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure and pipelines.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
