About the Role
The FSI (Banking / Finance / Insurance) division is recruiting experienced Data Engineers H/F to work with one of our major clients in the banking sector. These are permanent positions based in Paris, France.
As part of this role, you will join a large-scale international program focused on banking consolidation and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our data pipelines. You will be responsible for the proper management of data, inter-team collaboration, and continuous improvement of processes and technologies used.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Pipeline Design and Development: Design and implement robust and scalable data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow management.
- Data Processing and Analysis: Use technologies such as Spark, Scala, or Python for data processing and analysis, ensuring optimal performance.
- Inter-Team Collaboration: Work closely with data science and development teams to integrate data solutions and ensure synergy between different departments.
- Performance Optimization: Improve the performance of data processing systems to maximize the efficiency and speed of operations.
- Data Management: Implement best practices for data management, ensuring data quality and governance to guarantee the compliance and reliability of information.
- Agile Ceremonies Participation: Actively participate in agile rituals, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure agile and collaborative project management.
- Technical Documentation: Write and update technical documentation to ensure traceability and understanding of systems and processes.
- Technological Watch: Conduct continuous technological watch to stay informed about the latest trends and technologies, and propose relevant innovations for data system improvement.
Technical Skills Required
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- AWS.
- Very good command of Scala.
- Good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficiency in versioning tools (Git).
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
About You
- You have a Master's degree (Bac +5) in computer science, data science, or equivalent.
- You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in data processing.
- You have a perfect command of Scala.
- You are capable of working in an AWS environment.
- You demonstrate initiative and are proactive in suggesting improvements.
- You speak fluent English.
