The Role
We are seeking a solution-oriented Data Engineer with deep expertise in Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and Power BI. In this role, you will design and deliver end-to-end data solutions that leverage AI and automation to drive business intelligence and operational reporting.
You will act as a bridge between technical execution and business strategy, working directly with internal units to translate complex requirements into scalable data models and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain Azure SQL databases, stored procedures, and Azure Synapse ETL pipelines.
- Business Intelligence: Build and manage high-impact Power BI dashboards and reports; oversee Power BI Online Workspaces and data refresh schedules.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather and define project scopes by communicating effectively with cross-functional partners and non-technical audiences.
- Quality & Governance: Ensure data integrity and performance across all platforms; document data models and reporting logic for compliance and internal use.
- Technical Advisory: Provide guidance on data visualization best practices and support ad-hoc analysis requests from various business units.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years in full-stack data development focusing on the Azure stack (Synapse, SQL Server, Power BI).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in T-SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, DAX, and Power Query.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Execution: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in financial services (banking or fintech).
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks and knowledge of DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or Machine Learning (ML) automation tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000 – $85,000 (commensurate with experience and location).
- Bonus: Eligibility for annual performance bonus programs.
