Day to Day

Your primary responsibility will be to integrate data from various sources into standardized data models, supporting analytics initiatives across Glassdoor and select Indeed business functions. This highly technical role involves refining the data lake model and developing efficient processes to manage data seamlessly.

You will apply your expertise in data processing and modeling to design and implement data pipelines (ETLs) that gather data from a wide range of sources into the Glassdoor (Indeed) data warehouse. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional product and data teams to implement changes in the data model. Providing documentation, training, and consultation for data warehouse users will also be essential, along with participating in an on-call rotation to support crucial business pipelines.

Your efforts will directly contribute to our mission of helping people secure jobs by delivering insights into the global job market and enabling product innovation that connects job seekers with employers.

Responsibilities • Design and implement reliable and efficient data pipelines (ETLs) to integrate diverse data sources into the Indeed Data Warehouse. • Develop and implement data model updates aligned with warehouse standards. • Provide thorough documentation, training, and support for users of the data warehouse.

Skills/Competencies • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with no prior experience. • Extensive experience with relational NoSQL and SQL databases. • Proficient in workflow orchestration and pipeline tools like Airflow. • Familiarity with data processing and streaming technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, Kafka, Spark, Flink or similar technologies). • A genuine passion for data and eagerness to learn new technologies. • Strong foundation in software engineering principles and coding.

Salary Range Transparency

Tier 1 - 99,000 - 149,000 USD per year

Tier 2 - 110,000 - 166,000 USD per year

Tier 3 - 122,000 - 182,000 USD per year

Tier 5 - 138,000 - 208,000 USD per year

The salary range listed reflects the expected minimum and maximum compensation for this role. Offers are generally made between the range floor and midpoint. Actual salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience as evaluated during the interview process.
