Data Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Azure-based data engineering solutions with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric. The role involves building scalable and reliable end-to-end data pipelines, managing Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures, and enabling enterprise analytics through Power BI.

The Data Engineer will collaborate with business, analytics, and reporting teams to deliver high-quality, optimized datasets, ensure data reliability, and support advanced analytics initiatives. This is a 100% onsite role in New Jersey.

Requirements

• 10 years of overall experience in Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines)
• Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2)
• Proficiency in SQL and PySpark
• Strong experience in data modeling (dimensional, analytical models)
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (semantic models, datasets, performance optimization)
• Experience in building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Knowledge of data security, governance, monitoring, and performance tuning in Azure
• Experience with CI/CD and Azure DevOps is a plus
• Ability to work onsite in New Jersey and collaborate with cross-functional teams
