Data Engineer

About Us

Do you want to not only manage data but make it a game-changer? To further develop our data infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer who will be responsible for the technical foundation for data-based decisions in the sports sector – directly on the Bundesliga pitch.

What awaits you

• Building and further developing our central data platform for sports, performance, and scouting data
• Integration of event data, tracking data, and training and performance data from internal and external sources
• Development and operation of automated data pipelines
• Ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability
• Provision of structured datasets for analysis, scouting, and reporting
• Close collaboration with data scientists, the analysis department, and external data providers

What you bring

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience in building data pipelines and data architectures
• Very good, productively used knowledge of Python and SQL
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data quality, and system monitoring
• Structured, solution-oriented approach with personal responsibility
