Data Engineer (m/w/d) - Datenbankentwicklung/BI, Ingenieurwesen

Your Tasks

• You conceptualize, implement, and operate fully automated data pipelines (ETL, ELT etc.) for efficient processing of large amounts of structured and unstructured data with Azure Databricks.
• You connect various internal (e.g. databases, APIs) and external data sources (e.g. APIs, web crawlers).
• You ensure technical-operational data quality and consistency by implementing suitable validation and cleansing processes.
• You monitor ongoing data pipelines and processes and resolve any errors during operation.
• You work closely with our Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and BI Developers to provide the necessary data quickly, securely, and efficiently.
• You document your work results in a structured and target-group-oriented manner.

What You Bring

• You have completed studies in computer science, data engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable field and have gained initial professional experience in data engineering.
• You have knowledge in the development and optimization of data pipelines (ETL, ELT), ideally with Spark and Databricks.
• You have experience in Python, SQL, Spark etc. with a clear focus on data engineering.
• You have a good basic understanding of connecting databases, APIs etc. to a data platform.
• The implementation and adherence to high data protection and security requirements in a regulated environment are part of your daily work.
• You strive to continuously learn new things and develop yourself further.
• You have very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
